A$ A' A' ?Our client is actively seeking a talented Engineer to work with a team located in Mineral, VA.
This is a 1-year contract opportunity with our client with the possibility for extension.
Job Overview:
The Engineer must be able to understand Client's processes for controlling electrical work on an operating nuclear power unit and apply the process and engineering knowledge to developing plans, sequences and instructions for the replacement of instrument and control components.
Requirements:
BA in Electrical Engineering or BA in Electrical Engineering Technology or AA in Engineering Technology or similar field with related experienceAbility to understand and apply Nuclear procedures and processes for controlling work.
Ability to read and understand electrical drawings.
Ability to develop written instructions for the control of component replacements on an operating nuclear power reactor.
Must work equally well with engineers, drafters, nuclear power plant operators and electricians.
Must be able to work within a highly regulated environment.
Preferred Skills:
Ability to estimate electrical component replacement.
Ability to understand the design of digital control equipment.
Ability to provide oral explanation or instruction of the sequence of work, and the reason why.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
