Responsibilities:

Perform subcontractor FP System new install design reviews.
Facilitate Commonwealth of VA, Local county staff design document reviews.
Perform in-process walkdowns to ensure compliance with all Commonwealth/Louisa County Codes.
Support Commonwealth of VA/Louisa County inspector walkdowns.
Augment Fire Protection System Engineer work backlog:
Monitoring installed FP System performance, support preventive and corrective maintenance activities, emergent FP system performance troubleshooting Desired - Experience and Education:
.
Training and experience with relevant industry, state, and local fire code requirement.
.
Fire Protection System Design experience.
Experience completing reviews independently.
Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
Ability to lead, collaborate, or work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams.
Previous experience with Simplex FP systems is a plus.
Fire protection system troubleshooting experience a plus.
10 years of related experience.

Experience as a fire protection engineer at a major commercial, industrial, or nuclear facility with a strong background in fire suppression and fire alarm system design.
